This will be my sixth year in the photography world. For the first four years I served as the second shooter to my husband’s photography business. When he decided that he was ready to move on I realized that I truly had a passion for photography and chose to keep going on my own. That being said, I have rarely advertised since going solo. Not having a website or Facebook page kept me feeling secure. A way to not feel complelelty exposed and open to judgment when it comes to my craft. However, I began to feel stagnant and unchallenged. All of a sudden my business began to ramp up and I just felt this push that it was time to legitimize my brand. While being brutally honest, I am incredibly nervous to put myself out there but by doing so I hope it challenges me to continue to grow as a photographer and a business owner. Thank you to all of my clients who give me such sweet words of encouragement, you have no idea how much it truly means to me. Those words have inspired me to follow a dream and make it reality.
